Complementary Pathways Technology

Cabling pathways installed in data centers and storage area networks must provide capacity, flexibility, and accessibility – in addition to standards compliance. Much as the right cable management products make structured cabling systems more efficient, adaptable, and expandable, these pathways contribute to the optimal function of DCs and SANs. These systems, available from Wiremold/Legrand include:

Cable trays for use overhead and as pathways within raised floor systems. Available products range from heavy-duty ladder tray and fully enclosed solid-bottom tray to center-spine systems and flexible wire basket trays. Drop-out fittings ensure proper cable bend radius control.

Raceways, wireway, and wallduct systems provide a complete enclosure for power and data cables. When equipped with internal dividers, these systems require no additional separation to prevent longitudinal coupling between power cables and unshielded twisted-pair cables.

Trenchducts provides high-capacity, infloor pathways where raised floors are not used.

Firestop systems for through-wall penetrations. FlameStopper™ fitting combines built-in intumescent firestopping material with a fully enclosed wall penetration that allows wires and cables to be easily added or removed while maintaining the fire rating of the wall. These systems are ideal for data center applications as they are tested to UL 1479 for flame, temperature, and smoke. They are also suitable for use in air handling spaces (plenums).
